Urinetown: The Musical is a satirical comedy guiding the audience along an action-packed journey satirizing the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, and most of all, the mismanagement of the world's most precious natural resource: water.

In a dystopian world where a twenty-year drought has caused a terrible water shortage, private toilets have become banned. In an effort to control water consumption, citizens are forced to pay to use public toilets controlled by a megacorporation called "Urine Good Company" (or UGC). Harsh laws ensuring that people pay to urinate are strictly enforced, and if broken, offenders are sent to a mysterious location named "Urinetown"...never to return again.
