“On a personal level I was deeply moved by this introductory experience in the performing arts. It made a change in my life that is difficult to explain.”

When words fail,

music speaks.

- William Shakespeare

Lynne has been teaching, directing, and performing in the Okanagan for over twenty years. As a member of the B.C. Registered Music Teachers Association, Lynne, a soprano and accompanist, has built an active voice studio where she teaches classical voice and musical theatre to students throughout the Okanagan who compete in musical festivals in the valley in both disciplines regularly winning awards at both the local, and provincial levels.

Lynne is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Inspired by teaching and the magic that comes from the amalgamation of talent within these communities, Lynne contributed to the development of Soundstage from its early beginnings. In partnership with the City of Penticton, Soundstage was a fundraising platform to raise money for the Cleland Theatre. Since then, Soundstage has grown into an independent significant theatrical force in Penticton.

As owner of Soundstage Productions, she invested and built on the resources created in the early fundraising years to become an integral role in the development of young talent in the community, many of which have gone on to fulfill their dreams of a profession in the performing arts.

Soundstage Productions continues to thrive under her direction. Drawing from the wealth of talent in the communities of the Okanagan, she assembles the highest caliber of talent available in order to present an impressive working showcase in the community where professional and amateur actors, dancers, musicians, as well as the people behind the scenes in sound, lighting, costuming, makeup, carpentry, and photography can work side by side to nurture and develop skills, share ideas, gain experience and confidence to grow in this highly stimulating and enriching environment.

Over the years, her directorial and performance abilities have contributed to concert and fund raising performances for upcoming artists, service groups, scholarship funds, community festivals, and events including TEDx Penticton. Other highlights include her work as the Director of Ceremonies for the BC Summer Games held in Penticton in 1995, and through her work with Soundstage - significant contributions to the performing arts community in Penticton.
