Welcome! Soundstage is proud to announce the next musical for 2010//2011 Season is "CHESS".
"CHESS" is a musical with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, formerly of ABBA.
Check out Chess in concert version on line with Josh Groban, Indina Menzel, Adam Pascal & Marti Pellow for some inspiration of the fabulous music that is CHESS! You will wonder where this music has been hiding!
The Story involves a romantic triangle between two top players, an American and a Russian, in a world chess championship and a woman who manages one and falls in love with the other in context of the Cold War struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union.
Both countries wanted to win international chess tournaments for propaganda purposes.
